Jailed Filipina tries to commit suicide

KUWAIT - A Filipina in jail in Kuwait tried to commit suicide by drinking washing liquid and is now in critical condition in a hospital, according to a newspaper report on Thursday.
The woman was found unconscious on the floor of the women’s prison by inmates who then informed the prison guards, the Al Watan reported.
“She was rushed to hospital in critical condition but doctors managed to save her life,” according to the report.
Police are investigating her motives for attempting suicide.
