Staff Report

DUBAI - Is that supplement or sex stimulant safe for you? Probably not, according to the UAE Health Ministry.

In a warning issued on Saturday, the Health Ministry identified several supplements and sex stimulants as health hazardous.

These include Royal chocolate supplement produced by El-Dong Tea Slimming and Royal honey supplement produced by Etumax. Both products have also been declared unsafe for use by the Saudi Arabia Food and Drug Authority.

According to test results, the products contain nitrates and unknown substances like tadalfil which causes the blood circulation to drop and may cause complications for patients with heart problems or diabetes.

The Health Ministry also issued a similar warning against a sexual stimulant called Zyrexin, which is produced by Health Smart. The product-enhancing drug contains yohimbine, which is banned in the UAE and may cause health problems like nausea and erratic heartbeat.

Other products placed on the watch list include Herbal Health Jointcare, Herbal Health RU Special Cream, Herbal Health YI Special Cream, Herbal Health JI Special Cream, Herbal Health XIANG Special Cream, Herbal HealthV+ and Herbal Health Backplus, which are produced by Ace Nutrition International.

The Health Ministry has ordered that these products be taken off the shelves.
