Dubai expats versus Filipino celebs

DUBAI - Fans in Dubai will get the chance to play ball with Filipino celebrities in a celebrity basketball event in October.
Jordan Herrera and Rowell Quizon will be joined by Star Magic artists Matt Evans, Joem Bascon, Alex Castro, Carlo Aquino, Arron Villaflor, and Kapuso stars Antonio Aquitania, Mico Aytona and Gene Padilla in a friendly match with Filipino expatriates at the Al Wasl Sports Club in Oud Metha Road on October 10.
The event will also feature exhibition games between Filipino schools in the UAE and a special women’s basketball match.
Fans are also invited to an after-party at Rocky’s Cafe at the Regent Palace Hotel in Karama. This time, the celebs will be showcasing their musical talents in a mini concert.
The basketball friendly will be held from 10 a.m. at Al Wasl Sports Club. Tickets are AED 100 for premium and AED 75 for regular passes. Tickets for the afterparty are AED 95 each. Call 055-3187888.
