Being in sunny Dubai gave Jillian plenty of opportunities to flourish in her career and have “memorable times with friends”. She was promoted at work and she had a lot of time for leisure travel. However, she was always on the lookout for further career growth, she told PilipinasToday.Net.
It was hard for her to leave the “beautiful city” that is Dubai, but Hong Kong beckoned with an irresistible opportunity and countless possibilities. Shortly after relocating to the Asian city, she found a job as a marketing and communications graphic designer.
"I wanted a new challenge, a change of environment and to be much closer to the Philippines,” she said, explaining her decision to move to Hong Kong.
What has she learned as an expatriate so far? "A bit of a cliche but very true: ‘No pain, no gain’,” she replied.
