Taste of Abu Dhabi to launch in UAE

ABU DHABI - The first Taste of Abu Dhabi festival is coming to Yas Island in November, featuring celebrity chefs Jun Tanaka and Eric Lanlard.
More than 50 exhibitors and 15 signature restaurants are expected to fill the Yas Island's du Arena from November 6 to 8 for food-filled fun during the world's favourite al fresco food, drink and music festival.
Participating restaurants already signed up for the festival include Angar, Avasa, Café d’Alsace,
Carluccio’s, Catch, McGettigan’s, Noodle Box, Turqoiz, Ushna, Villa Toscana and Blue Grill.
Chris Fountain, Managing Director of event organisers Turret Media, said: “Abu Dhabi’s culinary scene has been thriving in recent years and Taste of Abu Dhabi will provide the perfect forum for people to really see and taste what the city has to offer.”
The inaugural event is set to appeal to all tastes and ages with a wide range of activities planned, including a live music stage, a chefs’ theatre, themed bars, a cookery school and a VIP lounge.
Celebrity chefs Jun Tanaka, Eric Lanlard and Steven Edwards already confirmed to delight crowds with live demonstrations.
Abu Dhabi will be the twentieth global destination to host the world’s most popular restaurant festival. The festival will run from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Early bird tickets will be on sale from September, starting from AED 49.
