Cebu group represents Philippines in Indonesia dance fest

MANILA - Award-winning group Tribu Lumad Basakanon of Cebu City is getting international recognition, representing the Philippines at the recent the Asian Pacific Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The chief of Barangay San Nicolas, where the dance contingent comes from, said the group is the country’s sole representative in the event. The group had won the grand prize in the popular Aliwan Festival in Pasay City last April.
The group has had several invitations, including one from Singapore, said barangay captain George Rama.
