Hike in minimum Nol card balance

DUBAI - Dubai Metro and public bus passengers need to maintain a minimum balance of Dh5.80 on their Nol Card in order to board the public transport, according to the new rule by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The RTA made the announcement on its Facebook page, and posted the same message in Metro and bus stations. Anyone with a balance of less than Dh5.80 on their card will not be permitted to board the bus or the train.
Transport fees range from Dh1.80 to Dh6.50 for a single trip.
