Pickpocket gang caught on cam in Jollibee outlet

MANILA – A video of a gang of pickpockets targeting a female customer at a Jollibee outlet in Alabang has gone viral on Facebook, shared more than 21,000 times as of Tuesday night.
“Pa share muna para kumalat,” Paranaque resident Rhenz Mitra Fregon wrote on Facebook on Monday. The senior stylist at Fringe Salon said the victim is an employee at the salon and that the incident happened at Jollibee Festival Mall in Alabang.
The crime happened in less than a minute. In the 55-second video clip, the victim is shown carrying a toddler while her open bag is hanging on her shoulder. She is waiting for her turn to be served at the counter. Then two unidentified women make their way in the line next to her, while an accomplice standing behind the victim takes the wallet from the bag.
The woman with the stolen wallet quickly leaves the scene while the other women remain at the counter. At 25 seconds into the video clip, the victim notices that her bag is open and searches its contents in haste. She starts looking around while rummaging through her bag to look for the wallet. At 35 seconds, the two women appear to leave the counter without ordering anything.
