Man killed in Sharjah road crash

SHARJAH – The Sharjah Police has reiterated calls for safe driving after a man was killed in a crash caused by “negligent and careless driving”.
Police said the victim was speeding when he swerved to take the right lane of Al Mamzar Lagoon Road, causing his vehicle to uncontrollably veer off the road and hit a road barrier before crashing into a palm tree.
The impact of the crash on Thursday killed the driver immediately and uprooted the palm tree. The crash also resulted in total damage to the car.
