Donayre ready for Dubai fight

DUBAI – Filipino Vaughn Donayre is set to make his mark in the international mixed martial arts (MMA) scene, competing in One FC: Reign of Champions on August 29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Donayre, winner of six MMA fights in the Philippines, works as a coach in Dubai. He left a career as a mechanical engineer in the Philippines to become a full-time MMA fighter.
He faces Syrian fighter Mohammed Walid in his first MMA fight in One FC.
"When the bell rings, I shut everything out and I don’t really catch what my corners is saying. I guess you can say I don’t fight smart but that has helped me to win most of my bouts so far," the Cebuano told Philippine Star.
