Guide to filing Report of Marriage at the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi

YOU WILL NEED

Original and three copies of the Marriage Contract (with English translation) attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (if married outside of the UAE, the Marriage Certificate must be first attested by the foreign embassy concerned then by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Four copies of Report of Marriage form, entries typewritten in capital letters (download form)

Three copies of the couple’s valid passports

Four passport size pictures each of both parties

Attestation fee of AED200

For delayed registration of Report of Marriage

Bring the requirements above, an Affidavit of Delayed Registration and a fee of AED100

PROCEDURE

Step 1. Visit the embassy from 8am to 12pm (Sundays to Thursdays). Obtain a priority number from the doorman before proceeding to the Consular Section. Wait for your turn.

Step 2. Proceed to Counter C to submit your documents. Ensure that all information in your application form is correct. You will be given a claim stub.

Step 3. Proceed to the cashier to pay the attestation fee. Leave the Report of Birth application documents with the cashier before leaving the embassy.

Step 4. After two working days, the Report of Birth certificate may be claimed at the embassy from Sundays to Thursdays, between 3pm to 5pm. Present your claim stub. Should a representative claim the documents, present the following: claim stub, authorization letter from the application and photocopy of the ID of the authorized representative.
